Q: Is it secure?
A: Very. We use network encryption to keep all traffic secure. We also employ advanced isolation techniques that makes it impossible for anyone else on the network to access your computer. Furthermore, we provide a managed firewall to actively block any connection attempts coming in from the outside of the network. Your computer has better protection under the Wireless Umbrella than it does on a regular connection, or even at the coffee shop!
Q: What if there are already lots of wireless routers present at the property?
A: The Wireless Umbrella is a smart, self-healing network. It constantly scans for "rouge" access points and modifies the network settings to talk around them. The rouge APs will probably cause problems for each other, but the Wireless Umbrella dynamically skips around such interference.
Q: What if there is a problem on the network or one of the APs goes down?
A: The Wireless Umbrella is a smart, self-healing network. If one of the APs dies for any reason, the network will route traffic around it and alert CWB of the outage. If there is heavy traffic in one area of the network, the Wireless Umbrella will load balance the traffic with other nearby APs. All of this is done automatically, and is monitored for problems remotely. CWB manages the entire network so you don't have to.
Q: What if the office wants to use the wireless... will the residents be able to hack our office computers?
A: No. The residents will be totally segmented from the office wireless and have no means of connecting to it. Office staff can go anywhere on the property and still have their own private, secure connection.
Q: Can I use any kind of computer on the Wireless Umbrella?
A: Yes. The Wireless Umbrella supports any Wi-Fi enabled device. This includes PCs, MACs, iPhones, iPods, XBOXs, Wiis, PlayStations, or any other Wi-Fi device.
